TRANSPORT

BY BICYCLE: Reach the cycle path on the north side of the railway (via Pico della Mirandola).
From the railway station: exit at Porta Nord through the underpass that leads to the carpark behind the station. Otherwise, cross the railway through the underpass near the Cialdini flyover.
Once you have reached the urban cycle path, turn left and follow it until it goes alongside the Modena-Verona railway. Pass the River Secchia via the cycle-bridge and then go down to the riverbank. Once on the riverbank, you will be on the Nature Trail: follow the signs for Sassuolo / Pescale until you have gone under the A1 Motorway.
Once on the other side of the underpass, you will shortly come across a restaurant called La Piola. Turn left here and follow the road up to the Fair District.
The path (around 15 km) is entirely cyclable, partly on asphalt and partly over solid ground (in a good state) on the banks of the River Secchia, and it may be undertaken on any kind of bike (although racing bikes are not advisable due to the presence of gravel along the riverbanks).
Here is a map of the Nature Trail or Cycle Path along the River Secchia.

BY CAR: Use the Modena Nord motorway exit. At the first roundabout: take the third exit, passing over the bridge crossing the motorway. At the second roundabout, exit at the third roundabout and you will find the Fair in front of you.

BY BUS: The Fair District may be reached using the No. 9 bus of the city transportation system (the closest stop is called ‘Fiera’, and is near to the entrance).

BY PLANE: Modena Fair is only 20 minutes by car away from Marconi airport in Bologna (which also provides a bus service from the airport to Modena), 45 minutes from Catullo Airport in Verona, and an hour and a quarter from the airport of Milan Linate.

BY TRAIN: Right outside the main train station, the bus may be taken. The Fair District may be reached using the No. 9 bus of the city transport system, which passes every 20 minutes on weekdays and every half hour at weekends and on public holidays.
